Why the Elijah Moore trade was a good move for the browns.

The browns recently traded for speedy Jets WR Elijah Moore. The browns traded away a 2nd round pick for a 3rd round pick and Elijah Moore. Elijah Moore is a young player with potential. Moore is especially intriguing, because he is on a rookie contract, so he’s cheap. But is he worth a 2nd round pick? Where here is the thing, we did give up a 2nd round pick straight up for Elijah Moore, we got a 3rd back. Think of it this way. The browns traded down, but instead of getting 2 3rds round picks, they got a 3rd round pick and Elijah Moore. This means the browns basically got Elijah Moore for the price of a 3rd round pick. Another way to look at this is that the browns moved down 30 spots in the draft to get Elijah Moore. But Elijah Moore is unproven? He may not be a sure thing, but he is more proven and has more potential than a 3rd round pick. Elijah Moore being a good receiver is a pretty good bet, and the draft is a crab shoot.
