What will the browns do at receiver? Browns rumors

Who should the browns get at receiver? trade and free agent ideas.

option 1: Do nothing. David Bell has potential to be a good receiver. However, we would not have a speed guy. This is possible though.

Draft a receiver with their 2nd round pick: The thing about this, is your still betting on someone to develop. We are in a win now, so this might not be the route we go. Maybe there could be a competition between the rookie, and David Bell.

free agency: The only free agent move that would make sense is Mecole Hardmen which I will talk about later.

Trade: Trade is my favorite option. I will talk about trade canidates later. We would get proven players who can bring this offense to the next level right now.

free agent candite’s: I really only have on free agent candite. He is

Mecole Hardman: Mecole Hardman, if you don’t know, is a chief’s receiver. He is not one of their top options, but he is still a contributor. The reason I am interested in him is he is a speed guy. He could be a number 3 wide receiver, not a great one, but an ok one. The plan would be 1: Amari Cooper 2: DPJ 3: David Bell/ Mecole Hardman. This would give David Bell the opportunity to develop, but if he doesn’t, it’s not the end of the world.

Trade canidites: I will start with my favorite:

Elijah Moore: Elijah Moore has been unhappy with the jets and wants out. I originally was a fan of Brandin Cooks, until I came across this trade idea. Elijah Moore is another speed guy. The reason I like him so much is because he is on his rookie contract. He is much cheaper than Brandin Cooks salary wise. I saw a old report from the trade deadline that said his price more than a 4th. I am going to say he would take a 3rd to get, because our 3rd round pick is late. I would take Elijah Moore for a 3rd. Would you?

A fan favorite: DeAndre Hopkins. But wait a minute, how could be possibly get DeAndre Hopkins? DeAndre Hopkins is 30 years old, and expensive. The receivers that are going for 1st round picks are young and on rookie deals. Well, is he any good anymore? He has regressed, and that’s why we are even talking about DeAndre Hopkins. However, he is still a very good wide receiver, that would likely be our wide receiver one. He might cost a 2nd round pick; he might cost less. It’s hard to tell. My problem with this is that I don’t know if it’s a financially smart move to trade for DeAndre Hopkins. I don’t want to do what the Rams did.

Brandon Cooks: Brandon Cooks, is also unhappy with his team. I we could get him with day 3 capital. The reason is he is not really worth the money at this age.

Jerry Jeudy: If we could get Jerry Jeudy with a 2nd I would do it. However, I think he will end up costing a 1st round pick.
