Many people have been trashing on Deshaun Watson this offseason, saying he is trash, and even that Kenny Picket is better. In this blog, I will answer the questions, why did Deshaun Watson struggle in his first 6 games, is he worth 230 million dollars, and I will discuss why the disrespect towards him is insane.

Deshaun Watson was very successful in Houston, and was seen as an elite QB. Then, after he was hit with allegations, and took time off the narrative completely changed. While I understand that the allegations are disgusting, they are not an argument that can be used to challenge his talent. You can’t make a football argument using non football things. Taking a break from football does not change his talent. He did not just forget how to play football.

But why did he suck in his first 6 games? That must mean he did in fact forget how to play football! No, Let’s look at the context. He came in the middle of the season, without having played in over 2 years, in a new offense that was adjusted to Jacoby Brisset. It is not normal to start working with your offense in the middle of the year, when everyone else has been doing it all year. Deshaun Watson was in preseason mode when everyone else were in make the playoffs mode. On top of that, the offense was not adjusted to him, they spent the offseason and season adjusting to Jacoby Brisset. The offense was not used to Deshaun Watson’s ability to extend plays, causing WR’s to end routes early, and offensive linemen to allow lots of pressure and sacks.

Now, Deshaun Watson gets an entire offseason to adjust to his offense and make corrections with Kevin Stefanski. He also has a plethora of weapons. The Browns are slept on. Everyone used to know Deshaun Watson was good, but they haven’t seen him be good in so long they forgot. He was worth 230 million dollars. You pay that kind of money for a QB you know he is elite. Somehow football fans have forgotten his talent so much in over 2 years, that they start making claims that he is garbage. Stop! the disrespect is insane. Someone might just bookmark your negative tweets and expose how badly they aged later. The Disrespect towards Deshaun Watson is insane. I am going to leave you with this tweet:
