Last season, the browns spent the offseason preparing the offense for Jacoby Brisset. The browns offense through 12 weeks became very accustomed to Jacoby Brisset. Then, Deshaun Watson was dropped into this offense, after not playing for over 2 years. The WR’s were not used to playing with him, and made frequent mistakes, even when he did his part. The offensive line was not used to Watson either, they also made frequent mistakes. Even with an offense that was not ready for Deshaun Watson, he showed flashes of his 2020 self.

Now, the offense has a whole offseason to get accustomed to the new QB in Watson. They also upgraded their offense, by trading for Elijah Moore, signing Jordan Akins, Marquise Goodwin, and drafting Cedric Tilman. Deshaun Watson was considered a top 5 QB, how does him not playing for 2 and a half years and not coming out great in his 1st few games make him a terrible QB? It’s ridiculous the narrative that has been built that Watson is anything less than elite. Just because you wish him to fail, does not mean you can brainwash yourself into believing he will fail just because you want him to fail.

In conclusion, the disrespect towards Deshaun Watson is very unlogical and is an emotional belief. If Watson is not top 10 next year, and the browns miss the playoffs, or have a bad record, Stefanski should be fired.
